Concept Art

I have mad respect for concept artist, especially environmental artists. I have some more practice/warmup environments. The character is a longer piece I am working on. I am currently at the detail sketch/thumbnail stage. I will post more images of it as I move along.

Warmups 11292009

Just some warmup stuff I've done over the past month or so. I was really busy with some projects, some art, some writing. I also think I am going back to school. Art major this time instead of computer science...blargh.

I am starting to learn some digital painting and environmental painting. Which is hard.

Due East Fan Art

Some fan art for a really great webcomic on Drunk Duck. Its won the Drunk Duck award for best spiritual comic and also was a finalist for the mmost profound.

Testing out halftones in photoshop

Pretty cool stuff and not too hard to do. Maybe I will post a how to.

Halftones are those little dots. screentones, tones, whatever you wanna call them.

Holy Crap

My brother...nay, my AWESOME brother just hooked me up with my own personal wet dream. A Wacom Cintiq 21UX. Oh hellz yes. This thing is huge. I am going to have to reprogram my brain to actually work at this size. Will also have to rearrange my work area. I will post pictures of that when I do it.

Outlaw Roughs

pencil roughs for the outlaw entertainment search. I will ink over these. I don't have the patience to get more detail then this in the pencil stage. I like to keep moving. Something I really need to work on. Jim Lee spends 8 hours pencilling 1 page. I get pissed if I spend more then 2-3 hours on pencils. I have to learn to enjoy it more. oh well, one day.

Warmup

This one didn't flow so well. I haven't had a chance to draw as much this week and I think my skills have decreased a smidge. oh well, can't be perfect all the time.
